Enter the New Meet Me In - IX Research Series
The first approach was by city according to the original Meet Me In series. Then it was the extension and extrapolation of those cities to ALL U.S. cities. Why stop there? Since the original series also included Toronto and Vancouver, I had to expand it to all of Canada, right? Especially because it would include Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada and therefore the API would most certainly pull Fibre Centre in to the research.
At that point, I had the idea to create actual maps of the Countries. These are easy to understand by the average person, by sight, and if I added in the number of actual IX’s by State, or Province that would give viewers a very good visual of where the IX’s were. It was at that moment that I realized what was truly possible. By looking at the inverse of the data that showed where the IX’s were, I would be able to see all of the places where they were not.
This is where the new IX Research broke in to two directions. One was the continual build out of maps, lists of global cities with an IX, a global map with zoom in/out capabilities and more. The other was deeper diligence in to where IX’s were not.
